POST COLOR GUARD

Our mission: to provide a Color Guard to honor the Flag of the United States of America in a cherished tradition to events in and around Frisco, Texas.
 
 
 
 
  
 
The VFW Post 8273 Color Guard presented the Colors with youth choirs signing the National Anthem at Military Appreciation Night on January 27, 2024, at the Legends Basketball game. 
 
 
 
 

 

 
 
 
   
                                                                          
 
 
 The VFW Post 8273 Color Guard raised the Colors on December 2, 2023, at the Frisco Merry Main Street festival and parade.  


 
 
 
 
 
The VFW Post 8273 Color Guard presented the Colors on November 12, 2023, at the SEAL Legacy Foundation 13th Annual Benefit & Gala.


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  
The VFW Post 8273 Color Guard raised the Colors at dawn on November 11, 2023, for the grand opening of the new Black Rifle Coffee Company in Frisco, Texas. 
 
 
The Dallas Cowboys mascot Rowdy attended the event and happily posed for a photo with some members of our color guard.
 
 
 
 
  


To commemorate the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom, the VFW Post 8273 Color Guard conducted a flag raising at 0715 hours on October 9, 2023, at the Black Rifle Coffee Company in Frisco, Texas.  
 
In response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Operation Enduring Freedom began on October 7, 2001, with American and British air attacks against al Qaeda and Taliban terrorist targets in Afghanistan.  Operation Enduring Freedom ended on December 28, 2014.
